Just a little background. I lost my mom back on May 6th. Now we are coming to nearly a month without her and it is still a difficult transition.

6-1 Message

The past is not present. But you need to be. Present in the moment. Forget the catastrophasizing. That never works or leads to anything helpful. Believe in yourself and also in me. We are one being and together we can get through this. Your mom is always with you and sees you and your dad. You always knew you didn't have long with them. And they appreciate you taking care of them for so long. Your karma is long gone and well paid off. Things will be much easier from here. Believe in miracles because they are coming for you. Amazing things will be available now. As for next steps, believe in your dreams. Learn to dream more ... bigger dreams because you deserve them. The way is open for you. You are protected by the angels and divine beings. Your readings may come up again so prepare and be ready to shine at a moment's notice. It will be okay. All this will be much more relatable in the latter half of 2020. All will work it for you and your dad. His health will improve now by leaps and bounds. With you there the healing will be so much more intense and significant. Before long he will be running circles around you. His spirit will bounce back and he will heal his heart. He will never forget your mom bur he will be able to move on and be free sooner than you realize. Love you. Sleep now. Happy dreams.

6-2 Message

You are okay. You really are. Things aren't as bad as you thought they'd be. Things will even out eventually. It's okay to be freaked out sometimes and not know what to do. It's all a part of learning in this life. Love will come to your now that you are more open to it. Keep it daily in your mind and see acting as if you already have the support you crave.

Work - it is not really about you there or your impact on the job you do. Like anything else, there are so many personalities impacting the energy things get muddled quickly. This will be going away for you by the end of the year and a new and more awesome opportunity will open up for you. The technology is not even available yet. So watch for it. You will be front runner and so in demand you won't know what to do with yourself. Everything will fully come full circle by December. You won't even recognize your daily life any more. It will be good for both you and your Dad since you will get too see him and others more often. Work won't be  your complete focus. It was never supposed to be. You all area learning so fast. The spiritual awakening is upon you. Cheers.

My Take:

This reading is telling you that you have a clear knowing of things. This is a gift from the universe. All these ideas and images are bombarding you but you are not focusing on in them. Time to slow down and listen to what the angels are trying to tell you.

This is all about a big change coming in. It may have come in already or will appear soon. Unseen forces are at work here. It may seem bad or unclear but it isnt. This is to get you to do an abrupt change in direction. You are needed in other areas and the angels are calling you up to bat. You have always been extremely lucky and you know Angels surround you and protect you. You may be called to help others see the angels in their midst too.

The opportunities will be unmistakable. Go for it. Don't try too hard. Go with the Flow and follow your bliss but you will have a separate mission underlying what you do on the surface. Try not to resist this gift. This is coming in because you greatly deserve it.

Tarot Picks My TBR (to be read)

Tarot TBR

I thought it would be fun to let the tarot pick my TBR.

For book one I shuffled and got the three of rods. This depicts a man looking out to the horizon about to take a journey. I immediately thought action adventure. Then I shuffled again for more clarity and got the 7 of pentacles and 8 of cups. This is about waiting for your harvest and walking away toward something new. This clarity told me to pick a book about a farmer doing something while waiting for his crop to harvest. The genre that came to mind was cozy mystery. I picked a fourth card which shows a girl next to some snow. I immediately thought it had to be set at Christmas time.

I did a little google search and came up with this book to fulfill those prompts.

The next book was a little easier to find. I pulled The Moon which shows a vast sea and the ace of rods which shows a girl being kept in her toes. I immediately thought about a thriller set at sea.

Weekend Tidbit March 28 & 29

Pulled a couple of cards this morning for a basic general reading.

I got Strength reversed and Justice.

Lots of powerful energies going on right now. Duh, right?

Strength reversed says that we need to take back our power... to remember that we do have a great and gentle power inside us. We need to put that back into balance and start living that truth. We have let society and others close to us tell us that we do not matter. Now is the time to realize that 

YES, YOU DO MATTER!

Now more than ever you are needed in this world for your views, connections to the higher levels and leadership. You have a point of view that others need. You will be given guidance that you will be required to give out to others. A lot of you will do this naturally but others will just know what their mission is right now.

There is a new truth rising up and it will really balance the scales in society. And we are all a part of that. The time has come that change had to happen. Things may never be the same again, but do we really want to stay the same and get the same results? Sometimes change is necessary.

Pay attention to all your inklings and sudden insights. They will be really important now.

My Take

Your Heavenly Father, whomever you pray to, is sending you a message of love and assurance that he is guiding you to the place you need to be. Do not worry. He always has your back and is telling you that what he plans may not be what you expect.

You have been working too hard and need to rest and relax right now. You need to do this because you will be given a great insight and wisdom into your next step on your path ahead.

Change is going to happen. Yes. But it will be the stress-free, worry-free kind that doesn't leave you freaked out. You will easily accept this new role and do well with it.

The tarot reading says that you are blessed beyond measure in the area of your family. But challenges will arise that will encourage you to be more confident and take-charge. That may be a new feeling for you since you don't always want to take the lead. Look for win-win solutions at every turn. Since this card is reversed this is a time of introspection and retreating into your inner world. You may stay in and read or do a hobby instead of going out into the cruel world where people can judge you. This is also an opportunity to listen for answers or pay attention to the signs you may have been missing when you were too busy to notice.

My Take

You may not know the struggles that come but trust that this new beginning will bring you something you really need in your life.  This new thing is possibly going to concern something that you find creatively fulfilling. This project will prosper and grow quickly, so be forewarned. If you venture here, whatever this is will take off like gangbusters.

As you step out into this new adventure, you will find competition from others, as you mostly likely will. Others may try to stop you from succeeding or send you into stumbling blocks. Just stay focused on your objective and you will be fine. Listen more to yourself than to others. Your opinions here really matter.

This success isn't just out of the blue. You have worked for this and deserve this so don't talk yourself out of your newfound success as this creative endeavor blossoms. To get away from the complaining masses, you may have to go into solitude and be by yourself for awhile. It will give you time to see the signs you are getting and the new opportunities that are opening up for you. An important choice is on the horizon and this new endeavor will help you make up your mind about what you want to do in the future.

Your future's so bright, I think you are gonna need some shades!

Week Reading for Feb 9-15

We are really in our emotions this week and need to pause, reflect and just take it all in. You will be completing an important cycle where your emotions are concerned. Things just won't get to you as much as they used to. You are refreshed and renewed. Things are just flowing for your. Even when trouble sniffs your way, you can roll with the punches. You need to really shine your light right now. Do what you do. Pursue your hobbies and interests. You will be the one others look to for inspiration. It will be important to stay near water in order to increase your intuition. You need to pay attention to all the signs and symbols the universe gives to you. Your wisdom will just be off the charts important. This would be a great time to start a new project. Out with the old and in with the new.

Reading for week of February 2nd

Cards used in this reading are from the Radiant Wise Spirit Tarot, Messenger Oracle,

The overall theme of the reading is positive change coming in. - The Wheel of Fortune

The fairies bring us Abundance. You need to reach for it. How appropriate is that rose color in the card. Does that say February Valentine's Day or what? An abundance of heavenly love is coming in for us right now.

The Messenger Oracle says to Be Patient and Embrace Spirit. This process of accepting heavenly love may not prove to be an easy one to accept. We need to be patient with ourselves and give ourselves a break when things don't workout as quickly as we would like them to.

The Archangel Animals are ushering in galactic transformation right now as shown in the card Butterfly. You are learning to fly. Butterflies are the symbol of moving from one state to a totally different one. Things may never be the same for you but you won't be going backwards. This is all forge ahead energy right now.

The tarot reading starts with Abundance again in the form of the Magician. He is telling us that as it is in heaven, so will it be on earth. As above, so below. He has mastered so much and he has everything he needs right before him. His skills and lessons have prepared him for this new journey forward. This card is clarified by the 8 of Wands reversed. This is usually the creatively busy card, the card of news coming in. In this instance all has already come in and you are dealing with it. You won't need to rely just on your creative wiles the universe and God really do have your back right now, as they always do. But you are seeing the proof of that right before your eyes.

The next card is Strength. Wow, right? We are abundant and now we are strong too. How cool is that? You are fueled by an inner strength and personal power that really has you in awe of how far you have come. You are overcoming fears and tackling things you might never have attempted before. And you are doing it all its this quiet, gentle strength. You've got this!

The Page of Cups reversed tells us that we may be experiencing a creative block which kind of shows up in the 8 of Wands reversed. Stunted creative inspiration. But that shouldn't hold you back. This is all an internal struggle with trusting source, spirit and your spiritual team. You may be being blocked due to the fact that a new, more important project it about to surface for you, so says the Ace of Wands. Justice reversed can say that you may not have accepted your new project or you may not have confidence that you can do it. Trust that you can. Like they say, a journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. Take baby steps and fake it till you make it.

My Take

You have been in pain and now that time is over. You are able to see  your great adventure laying out before your eyes. Take a look at your goals and decide what you want to accomplish. I feel like this is speaking toward this year. It is all up to you to go for your goals this year. There is no more waiting around to let the universe bring in something for you. You are creating it all by yourself and the universe is totally supporting you. There is safety and sanctuary there when you need it. You don't always have to do things by yourself but you may feel better going forward if you rely mainly on you. The opportunities are everywhere and you are finally grounded enough to notice them. The stress you have been encountering in the last few years will be lessened a great deal now. You have gone through your dark shadow of the soul period and come out successful. Your perspective is really important right now. Show others what you are made of, It will inspire them to move forward too. This is showing you that your personal power is just growing stronger and stronger right now. You will feel more in your element and feel like your projects are moving in the directions you always hoped they would go. Even when some form of chaos crops up, you can handle it now, Your emotions are so balanced that it will be hard to knock you off your horse of power right now. You have always connected with spirit in a certain way. But now it looks like you are getting more access to divine information that you will need to share with others. But you are scared for some reason and not following the directions of the divine. They are asking you to be bold and spread the message but something in holding you back. You may fear you will look like a fool or a kook. You need to express your truth since you are the divine channel the universe/God wants to use right now. Don't keep these sudden insights secret. Share them. Show everyone how great the Universe/God is and what awesomeness is in store for us all. You are being asked to be a spiritual mentor for others. Have faith and know that even if you fear the unknown, the Universe/God always has your back. You are supported by all the divine beings and your spiritual team. Trust them to never steer you wrong.

“Essential Oils for Beginners” is one of a slew of titles in the “For Beginners” series published by Llewellyn Publishing by Kac Young. I love this particular series and am happy to see titles like these showing up in an already successful line for Llewellyn.

I thought this was a very comprehensive book speaking not only to the new age crowd in the latter parts of the book but to all those people who want to get into essential oils and don’t know where to start. This is like your starter kit. They give you the best 20 oils to put into your collection and speak to any number of things these specific oils can do for you, heal for you, etc.

This is one of those books that you will need to keep on your reference shelf to refer back to often. I decided to try the pairing of lemon and peppermint. I don’t think I would have thought those two scents went together but they blend beautifully and promote a sense of awake-ness and rejuvenation. Love it so much! I have wanted to experiment with essential oils for a very long time yet didn’t know where to start. This is helping me to open up to all the possibilities that oils can bring to my life and my health.

If you love books in the “For Beginners” series, definitely check this one out too! You won’t be disappointed.

You are at a point in your journey where you are advancing. Things will just start to work out for you. You need to harvest the fruits you have already planted and get ready for a new chapter with new and different blossoms of experience. You don't exactly know what to expect but you need to trust yourself. You are wise beyond your years. Stop paying attention to the rest of the world and what they think you need. Do your own thing. Your purpose is in your grasp. Believe in what the Universe and God have in store for you. Reach for it.  There will be a celebration in your future. Believe in yourself.

I love the concept of this deck. The images on the cards are indeed amazing and if you are knowledgable in the Dickens world of books, this deck will blow you away. 

However, all the cards are read sideways which is kind of awkward and makes the reversals hard to figure out for me. I guess it will just depend on you and what you sense as a reversal. I usually shuffle with the cards in the upright position so the smaller width is in my grasp. I may just read these without reversals to save me the mental strain.

The main issue I had personally was that the minor arcana is difficult to figure out. All I can decide is that the borders of each suit are different and that is all I can see on the surface. I would prefer that they put the names of the cards actually on the cards. Some do have them. I understand this deck is insanely busy with all its images and character names but still. This is supposed to be a divination tool. It's hard to use this tool if you can't figure out what card is what. 

I am sure once you figure this deck out, you will be off to the races. You will love it. However for me, it just wasn't my jam.  I couldn't wrap my mind around the concept since I am not a big Dickens fan and I have not read or am familiar with most of the characters. I would love to be able to go into all the symbols like the meaning of the carpet on the back of each card and why one character versus another is used for a particular number. But that is just not me. I don't read like that. This deck feels like you need to get a doctorate in Dickens before actually using it.

I love the images. They are so rich and vibrant. But for me the borders are way to thick and distract from the card images. The trend is to bleed the image off the side and I think that would look amazing if you did that with the character photos only. Maybe add a little title of the card and name of character somewhere together to appease the dolts like me who are not scholarly enough to read with them like they are meant to be read with.

There is a great website as a reference as well as a huge book that comes with each deck. The cards are a bit too big for my grasp and marry with that the difficulty figuring out what cards are what, I have a hard time using this deck to its fullest potential. Just because this deck is not my cup of tea doesn't mean it won't be yours. Try it out for yourself. Give it a go. Show me up. I dare you! It won't be hard, really.

I can definitely use this as an intuitive deck and just go off the images without knowing what the name of the cards are. And I think in retrospect that is how I will definitely use this deck. No cards get thrown out in my collection and I will definitely use them to the fullest I can. But if you are into Dickens, get this deck. It is an amazing piece of artistry. I applaud whomever created it. I can't image how long it took to make this deck and come up with all the particular symbolism that pertain to a specific character. Talk about an effort of love.

If you have friends who love tarot and love Dickens, this would be a great gift idea.

Not my most favorite deck but I do love how the deck looks and the process of its creation. I can appreciate the marrying of books and tarot. Such a cool concept.

1st Edition of the Witch's Oracle.

I have been enjoying the first edition of The Witch's Oracle for years.  So, I was excited to see the second edition show up on my doorstep. This deck is available now.

I took a picture of both editions using the same card from each deck to show the difference. The images are all the same but in edition two they have bled the image off the side of the card. This is a popular trend in card decks these days. The first edition has a big black border with the photo inset inside it.

The box is bigger in the second edition with the witch image that was on the cover of the guide in version one printed on the box lid. I am not sure why the trend is to make the packaging and boxes bigger and bigger. I am a collector of decks both tarot and oracle and the bigger boxes make it harder to store my collection and see what all I do have. I know back in the day all we received in a deck was a little white booklet. And I do appreciate the books provided by authors. They are amazing. This particular one is in full color and even though the directions are sparse, There is just enough to intuitively get the meaning and read the story of the spread.

These cards fit well in my hand and as a woman, some of the bigger decks are just so hard to shuffle. I am sure a male might want a bigger deck to fit into their obviously bigger hands. It's all an opinion when it comes down to it. 

I am loving this deck and really appreciate the theme of the cards. It is an especially good deck for the Halloween season you can pair with your darker halloween decks.

Justice - represents fairness and truth. If you are in alignment with the true you, you will have no problems but if you are acting unfairly in some way, be prepared to face the music. A ruling will be passed down shortly. This card usually appears when there is a choice you need to make.

6 of Swords - This card shows that you are in a state of transition from harder times to easier times. This asks that you let go of the things that have been holding you back so you can move forward more easily.

10 of Pentacles - This is a positive sign that you have reached a point of completion and accomplishment. You are blessed by wealth and abundance and that may not always mean money. I like to think of this as the happy family, living your legacy card. Share your success with others so they may benefit from your wisdom. Family is important to you and being surrounded by those you love is just where you want to be right now.

9 of Wands - This card shows that even in the face of adversity you are still standing strong and holding your position. Realize that this is a test of your mettle and grit not because you have done anything bad or wrong. You are so close to the finish line. Don't give up now. Stand strong a little longer. People may be jealous of your success so just be ready to protect yourself at a moment's notice.

My Take

There is some happy time, memory from the past or person you once knew and resonated with that is holding you back right now. You are clutching to this memory or special time but  you know deep down this is what has been holding you back. Since the new year is a time for resolution and goal setting, the real you, the you that knows what you want in your life is coming forward right now and cutting ties with those old memories and times. It might be hard. You might suffer. But it will be a short-lived hurting. You are moving away from those troubling times and into a time of abundance. There will still be struggles, but you will come away better than ever. Just have faith! You are being set on a new path that will be right in your wheelhouse.
