Card of the Day - 10/20

We are continuing to use the Halloween Tarot by Kipling West for the entire month of October. 

Today's Card: Ace of Pumpkins (Pentacles)

Shadow Card: Ten of Ghosts (Cups)

Top Card: Queen of Ghosts (Cups)

In today's reading, I am really getting a strong message about a person's hands. According to the Dreamer's Dictionary* by dreamschool.org, my go to dream dictionary, hands in a dream means purpose. I like to think that it is referring to our purpose in life. It is the direction in life we need to be striving for.

In the Ace of Pumpkins, our purpose is being handed to us or maybe things that support our purpose is being handed to us. The last reading was about our connection to the divine and going for our big dream. Spirit, God, your spiritual team, and the angels are handing you a bunch of stuff that is going to help you not only connect to god better but it will assist others in this connection as well. 

Due to all the lilies in this card I was curious about its symbology. So, I looked it up. Some keywords are development, growth, purity, progress and freedom. In tarot it specifically refers to purity, innocence and fertility. It symbolizes vulnerability and the freedom to be ourselves as well as allowing others to be themselves. In Greek myth, Zeus wanted to make Hercules a God and put Hera to sleep. He then had Hercules suckle at her breast. Apparently having a human drink the mother's milk of Hera would make them into a god. Because Hercules sucked so hard on Hera's breast an abundance of milk flowed forth. The excess floated upwards to the heavens and created the Milky Way galaxy. I see lilies in this card referring to a galactic influence. It is possible this influence will also be available to us.

The Ten of Ghosts is about a great family connection. So, not only are we connecting to spirit on Monday, we are connecting to family as well. We will get a great joy by being around family on Monday. (Maybe this family US our galactic connection.) But the woman in the card is reaching for one of the ghosts suspended in the air like Chinese lanterns. This tells me that you will be reaching for this connection to spirit this week and it will feel very familiar. 

The Queen of Ghosts also has a pumpkin in her hand which reminds me of all the spiritual gifts that are coming in from our spiritual team, God and maybe even the familiar galactic presence. This queen is a mermaid which I didn't notice when the card popped up in the same position the other day. In dreams, fish means our spirituality. So, here we find ourselves nurturing a connection between our emotions and our spirituality. Not only that but we are supported by spirit in this endeavor which is represented by the three ghost fishes carved into the queen's throne. Chairs represent things that support us. 

My Take

Things that support our purpose will be practically handed to us due to our new connection to the divine, spirit and our spiritual team. (This may include a new connection to our galactic allies that could quite possibly be family. ) This new connection, which would usually freak us out, will make us feel comfortable and at ease.  This will make connecting easier for us. We are nurturing this new connection between our emotions and our spirituality and now we are fully equipped to step into our new leadership position in the world.
